Journey from Jackson, MS to the Mississippi Delta
Where History Meets Hope
Embark on an extraordinary three-day odyssey through the heart and soul of Mississippi, where every mile tells a story of courage, each stop echoes with the voices of heroes, and all moments connect you to the profound legacy that shaped our nation.
The Great Mississippi Road Trip is more than a weekend getaway; it is an immersive experience that connects the dots between civil rights history, present-day social justice issues, and the rich culture that continues to define Mississippi.
Along the way, we will visit some of the state’s most powerful landmarks and cultural treasures. Step inside the Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument in Jackson, a site preserved in honor of the civil rights hero whose legacy continues to inspire generations. Travel through the Mississippi Delta to the B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center, and historic Club Ebony, where we will enjoy live blues music and authentic Southern cuisine in one of the Delta’s most iconic juke joints.
Explore the life and legacy of Emmett Till and reflect on how the fight for justice in his name echoes today in the face of ongoing police misconduct and systemic injustice in Mississippi.
Our journey includes a stay at the 5-star Alluvian Hotel in Greenwood, a luxurious and historic retreat in the heart of the Delta.
And there’s more – engaging stops, powerful conversations, and opportunities to connect with local leaders and fellow justice-seekers. Whether you’re a longtime advocate or a new supporter, this road trip will deepen your understanding of Mississippi’s challenges and its enduring spirit. Join us for this moving and meaningful journey.
