27 Aug Advocacy group pledges support to Better Schools, Better Jobs initiative

JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Center for Justice issued the following statement in support of the drive by Better Schools, Better Jobs to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot requiring full funding of our public schools:

“The Mississippi Center for Justice supports the right to a quality public education for every child in the State of Mississippi. Accordingly, we believe that adequate funding will go a long way towards giving Mississippi’s children the resources they need to be successful and productive adults. For that reason we support the efforts of the Better Schools, Better Jobs coalition to amend the state constitution to strengthen our State’s commitment to quality public education. We encourage all registered voters to sign the petition to place the Better Schools, Better Jobs initiative on the ballot, and to vote for it.”
