Many Mississippians face significant health disparities, particularly among those with social and economic disadvantages. Federal and state safety net programs lift a large number of Mississippians out of poverty or grant them a better chance at survival.
Our public benefits work focuses on underserved communities in need of a little help. We work to increase Mississippians’ access to public benefits by providing application assistance, collaborating with Mississippi organizations that help individuals seeking public benefit assistance, and advancing policies that remove barriers and increase access to public benefits.
