Linda Dixon is the Director of Health Justice at the Mississippi Center for Justice, where she has led efforts to advance equitable access to health care since 2008. With a strong background in law and public policy, Linda has dedicated her career to addressing health disparities, combating HIV-related stigma, and ensuring underserved communities have a voice in shaping health outcomes.
Before joining the Center, Linda served in the Mississippi Secretary of State’s Office as Assistant Secretary of State for Elections, following roles as Senior Attorney and Director of Elections Training and Education. Her early work in government sharpened her legal and policy expertise, which she now uses to drive systemic change in health equity. Linda holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Southern University at New Orleans and earned her law degree from the Mississippi College School of Law. She is a proud member of both the Mississippi Bar and the Magnolia Bar Associations.
Deeply committed to community service, Linda currently serves on several boards, including the Central Mississippi Health Services Board, Mississippi Urban League, Converge, and the Access Care & Engagement TA Center Advisory Council. She is also serves on the Mississippi College School of Law Alumni Association Board. Her previous board service includes the Southern AIDS Coalition, the Mississippi Sickle Cell Foundation, and MS Votes. A passionate advocate and leader, Linda is also a proud mother to her young adult son, Reggie Rigsby.
